France, Jacques LeFevrier left nothing to chance when he decided to commit suicide. He stood at the top of a tall cliff and tied a noose around his neck. He tied the other end of the rope to a large rock. He drank some poison and set fire to his clothes. He even tried to shoot himself at the last moment. He jumped and fired the pistol. The bullet missed him completely and cut through the rope above him. Free of the threat of hanging, he plunged into the sea. The sudden dunking extinguished the flames and made him vomit the poison. He was dragged out of the water by a kind fisherman and was taken to a hospital, where he died of hypothermia.
» Ted Nugent on Deer Hunting
Published 10/12/2006
While on a European tour, Ted was being interviewed by a French journalist. The journalist asked, "What do you think the last thought is in the head of a deer before you shoot it? Is it, `Are you my friend?`or is it `Are you the one who killed my brother?'"
Nugent replied, "They aren't capable of that kind of thinking. All they care about is - 'What am I going to eat next' 'Who am I going to screw next' and 'Can I run fast enough to get away', "They are very much like the French."

Link Building to Increase Traffic
Many website owners have the wrong idea about web directories. They they are simply a way to gain a one-way incoming link. Inclusion in the different web directories is seldom perceived as more than a one-time entry event. The aim is to get listed and obtain the inbound link, for better of for worse. Traffic from some mainstream directories is almost always low and rarely seen as part of the equation.

Writing a Memoir: Should You Do It?
With the tremendous success of such memoirs as Frank McCourt’s "Angela’s Ashes," Mary Karr’s "The Liar’s Club," and Dave Eggers’s "A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius," the 1990s and early 2000s saw an explosion in the genre. The boom was seen in the number of memoirs acquired by publishers, the number of titles shelved in the memoir section in bookstores, and, as a result, the number of memoirs unfolding on writers’ computer screens across the country. But the brutal truth is that without a few crucial elements, your memoir will have no chance of finding a literary agent’s representation, never mind becoming a bestseller.

Good News about Drinking Wine
A new medical study has provided more good news for wine drinkers. There is an ingredient in red wine that apparently really does prolong life, at least, the life of mice.
How do we know? In a recent study, mice that were fed all kinds of artery-clogging foods and fattened up were given huge doses of the elixir, while other mice were just fattened up. Despite being obese, the cardiovascular systems of the lucky mice on the regimen remained healthy – so healthy the researchers, at no less than the Harvard Medical School, rushed to publish their findings even before the study was complete.
